Summer Boot Camp is an ideal program for students who want an immersive summer day camp experience to hone their performance and ensemble expertise as well as learn valuable new music industry-related skills. Students spend 2 full weeks working in a hands-on atmosphere learning songwriting fundamentals, and will collaboratively write and perform a piece. They'll also track and record their creations!
Not only will they meet and interact with other talented young musicians, they ' re also given unique access to established music professionals who will share their experience and knowledge to help students understand some of the options open to them in the songwriting and recording industry.
The August session will be part of a unique PGSORM endeavor: the session will be Woodstock-themed, and all PGSORM branches plan to hold their camp concert on Saturday, August 15th to commemorate the 40th anniversary of that seminal event in rock and roll history!
