Franchise Sales Director - Remote

School of Rock is the original performance-based, interactive music school founded in 1998 in Philadelphia. With almost 200 schools, and a strong internationally recognized brand, School of Rock is the largest after-school music education provider. Our mission is to help kids rock their worlds.

Summary

The Director Franchise Sales is a full-time role that sells franchises in the US and ensures that new School of Rock franchises open successfully. The Director Franchise Sales’ goal is to bring good long-term partners into the School of Rock system, fulfilling our goal to open more schools and reach more students.

Under the supervision of the VP Franchise Development, the primary responsibilities of this position will be to recruit, sell and award franchises to qualified candidates (leads provided—no cold calling involved) and meeting franchise sales goals and objectives. You will be required to effectively close sales while adhering to Federal and state franchise sales laws and Company policies and procedures. Developing strong relationships with prospects in your pipeline and keeping them engaged throughout the process is vital to the success of this position. Other responsibilities in your primary functions include qualifying and assessing candidates, prompt follow-up, assisting prospects through the sales process, responding to prospect questions, in-person sales presentations, documenting progress and interaction with the candidates in the CRM, keeping management apprised of the status of your pipeline, and other administrative functions as directed.

Roles and Responsibilities are as follows:

Sales

  • Establish trust a strong report with all prospects (leads provided)

  • Work with the qualifying and marketing team and assess candidates

  • Educate prospects on our brand and keep them engaged throughout the process responding to questions and providing appropriate information

  • Manage your franchise sales pipeline from the initial inquiry to closing

  • Promptly and diligently respond to and follow up with all inquiries and leads

  • Adhere to company standards while being held accountable for reaching sales goals and metrics defined within your compensation plan

  • Manage and execute sales processes as directed to effectively close deals on a timely basis adhering to Federal and state franchise sales laws and Company policies and procedures

  • Deliver phone/video conference presentations and in-person sales presentations

  • Facilitate and confirm travel arrangements with prospects attending Meet the Team days/Opening Act

  • Support and communicate brand quality standards, gain feedback when applicable

  • Ensure the representation of the School of Rock vision and values are communicated and understood

  • Identify and Separate high potential prospects from ones that are not likely to close

  • Identify bottlenecks and objections with individual franchise candidates and work to solve them quickly

  • Provide candidates expertise on topics in their decision process – financing, real estate, validation, etc.

  • Effectively close sales to meet company's sales targets

  • Provide feedback to Franchise Team on sales processes and forecasting and tools

Marketing

  • Provide feedback to relevant colleagues on effectiveness of marketing initiatives

  • Assist with generating and planning of new marketing initiatives to drive new leads into the pipeline

Real Estate

  • Manage the real estate site selection and approval process from initial conversation through broker identification/education to execution of the lease.

  • Conduct market tours and site visits with the franchisee/prospective franchisee and real estate broker when applicable.

School Openings

  • Remain involved with candidates until they have opened their Schools
  • Assist Opening Staff as necessary

Skill Requirements:

  • 5+ years large-investment sales, franchise sales experience required
  • Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous candidates and workflows
  • Self-motivated and self-guided
