Staff Accountant - El Segundo, CA



We are seeking Staff Accountant to join School of Rock's team reporting to the SVP of Accounting and Finance with the preparation of the financial statements. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for performing many aspects of accounting activities specifically use of proper application of GAAP to transactions. The ideal candidate operates with minimal supervision and can assume more responsibilities as needed. The position is located in El Segundo, California.

  • Process payroll for hourly and salary employees.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations.
  • Manage accounts receivables, accounts payable, fixed assets, and other various general ledger accounts.
  • Assist in other month-end, quarter-end and year-end duties
  • Complete special projects and analysis as needed.


  • BS degree in Accounting or equivalent major.
  • 2 to 5 years job-related experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Proficient in MS Office and prior experience working with NetSuite or another ERP.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work extending hours during critical periods.
  • Knowledge and understanding of GAAP.
  • Multi-unit business or franchise industry experience desirable.
  • Strong team player who can interact well with a diverse group of internal and external contacts.
  • Individual who enjoys working in fast-paced environment and can juggle multiple priorities.
