Kelly Scutchfield Office Manager

Recipe:
1 cup Carlos Santana
1 cup Stevie Nicks
1 tsp Glenn Danzig
2 tsps Reba McEntire
1 dash Cedric Bixler-Zavala
2 sticks of Butter
1 large container of Todd Rundgren

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Put Santana and Nicks into a wide, shallow bowl; beat lightly with a fork. Stir in Danzig and McEntire until mixture is thick. Pour mixture into a 10 x 8 greased baking pan. Sprinkle Bixler-Zavala lightly over top. Cook for 40 minutes. Let cool for 15 minutes. Spread Rundgren generously over the top. Enjoy!!!

We're not really sure how Kelly was created, but this is our best guess. She not only rocks the front-desk and keeps every one of us organized, but can more than hold her own when it comes to music gear, and can talk shop about just about any rock band imaginable. Kelly plays guitar and has aspirations of creating the best all-female Sabbath tribute band ever...Pink Sabbath!

Carmen Paradise Instructor - Bass, Guitar, Vocals

Carmen Electra Paradise has been actively involved in the Michigan music community for over a decade. She spent several years as an integral force in the Lansing music scene before moving back to her hometown of Rochester.

Beginning as a solo acoustic artist, Carmen was twice voted "Best of the Best" by the Lansing State Journal, and was featured on the cover of Noise magazine...not to mention a billboard!

In 2004 Paradise joined space rockers, Calliope, as a bass guitarist and released "Sounds Like Circles Feel" on Thick Records in 2005. Carmen toured Europe with Calliope in support of the album. Carmen and Jason Lantrip of Calliope paired up in 2005 to form The Good Mornings featuring Carmen's original material. The Good Mornings were signed onto Thick Records and released a CD late 2006 that is receiving national attention. Carmen also paired up with long time musical companion Peter LeClair to form The Marvin's in 2006 and can be seen and heard in Rochester on a regular basis.

Peter LeClair Instructor - Guitar, Keyboards, Vocals

Peter Le Clair claims to have been studying the "School of Rock" since
he was born. A love of rock and obsessive musicianship pushed him to
study "The Greats" and learn to play like them. He went on to form
numerous bands with a dedication both to studying all types of music
and continuously writing, composing and performing original music.

This led to a lifetime of musical study, both in the rock world and
elsewhere. Peter Le Clair is a recent graduate with a Bachelor's
degree in Classical Guitar performance from Eastern Michigan
University. He continues to write, record, perform and teach music
daily. He plays in an original band, The Marvins, with fellow School
Of Rocker, Carmen Paradise. The Marvins are still studying "The
Greats."

Marty Morris Instructor - Guitar, Bass

Marty Morris was born in central Illinois and raised in Atlanta, GA and Toledo, OH. He was given a $25 electric guitar at age six and shown the song "La Bamba". Over the next several years, he taught himself to play multiple instruments, write, and sing. His first public performance was a cover of Led Zeppelin's "Moby Dick" at age 12 and, by age 15, was playing original compositions as a regular of the Toledo bar scene.

Studying cinema and English literature in college, he briefly flirted with the idea of becoming a film director, but his love of music proved too strong. Moving to Detroit in 2001 after a brief stint in Tennessee, he has worked continuously to evolve as a musician and entertainer. Performing hundreds of concerts all over the world--everywhere from the Fillmore in San Francisco, the Dirty Water Club in London, England, to DollyWood in TN--he has supported such names as Don Was, the Black Keys, Link Wray, the Cramps, the Von Bondies and many more.

A member of critically acclaimed bands SSM and the Cyril Lords, Marty stays busy with recording, touring, and teaching, and sadly, has even won a Best of Detroit award for a karaoke night he hosted at the Garden Bowl.

Stephen Nawara Instructor - Guitar & Bass

Stephen Nawara was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. He comes from strong musical roots and has a lifelong passion for music. A simple man with a complicated life, he is obsessed with the purity of music and the lack thereof, and emphasizes the roll, in rock & roll. His influences include Peter Green, Stephen Cropper, Eddie Hazel from Funkadelic, and the greats...Hendrix, Beck, And Page.

Stephen started playing guitar seriously at age 12 when he was blown away by Bad Brains and the Punk Scene in general. His first band was a punk outfit named Social Chaos.

Prior to starting his career in Rock and Roll, Stephen studied renaissance and classical music at Interlochen specifically on the Lute & Sitar.

Steve was an original and integral member of the acclaimed band the Electic Six, who had several top 5 hits in Europe and received a Gold Record. During his tenure with the E6, Stephen toured nationally and internationally building a strong following.

Stephen also played guitar with the Detroit Cobras, and recorded and toured extensively with them. He is currently playing in The Magic Shop, and continuing to dazzle audiences!
