Groove Patrol
The Funk show celebrates the infectious, danceable music emerging from 1960s and 1970s R&B. Pioneered by rhythm-and-groove-focused artists like James Brown and Aretha Franklin, the genre defined the 1970s and influenced modern artists such as Bruno Mars, Prince, and D’Angelo.

Teenage Dirtbags
Alternative music is a wide-ranging genre that covers anything from raw, garage-influenced bands like The Strokes and Arctic Monkeys to varied 21st century-artists like Billie Eilish and Hayley Williams. This show provides an excellent performance opportunity for students across all instruments and experience levels.

The Flannel Mafia
The landscape of popular music permanently changed in autumn 1991 when Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” kicked off the Grunge era. This genre features heavy guitars, powerful drumming, and expressive, moody vocals featuring groups like Pearl Jam, Garbage, Alice in Chains, and Soundgarden.

Riff Lords
Classic Rock celebrates the golden age of radio and the monumental anthems that transformed rock and roll into a global phenomenon from the late 1960s through the 1980s. Featuring iconic bands like Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin, Rush, Journey, Janis Joplin & more, this show covers the evolution of songcraft from intimate clubs to massive stadiums.

The Mosh Pit
Punk emerged as a rebellious, anti-establishment response to the 70s, prioritizing raw spirit and energy over technical precision. Defined by short, energetic songs with little ornamentation, this show covers classic artists like Ramones and The Clash and the genre's enduring legacy, connecting it to modern bands like Panic! At the Disco, Hole and My Chemical Romance.

The Hit List
Short for "Popular," Pop music transcends its origins with iconic artists and enduring legacies. In fact, this genre includes anything from The Cardigans and Maroon 5 to Olivia Rodrigo, Michael Jackson, & Whitney Houston. This show will celebrate the impact that acclaimed artists have made on the music industry and will encompass a vast timeline of the pop music landscape.
