School of Rock Bella Vista Recognised in NSW Parliament Following Global Headliner Award

School of Rock Bella Vista has received the prestigious 2025 Headliner Award, placing the school among the top-performing School of Rock locations worldwide.

Out of 439 School of Rock schools across the globe, only 45 were selected to receive the award in 2025. The recognition celebrates schools that demonstrate excellence in student outcomes, community impact and performance-based music education.

A Global Achievement for a Local Community

While receiving a global award is an incredible achievement, what matters most is what sits behind the recognition.

Every week, students walk through our doors to learn music, build confidence, make friends and experience the excitement of performing live. The Headliner Award acknowledges the positive impact that performance-based music education can have on young people and their families.

For School of Rock Bella Vista, this milestone reflects the hard work of our students, the support of our families, and the dedication of our instructors and staff.

Recognised in NSW Parliament

Following the announcement of the award, Ray Williams MP, Member for Kellyville, recognised School of Rock Bella Vista’s achievement in both local media and the New South Wales Parliament.

Receiving recognition in Parliament was an unexpected honour and highlights the important role that music education can play in supporting young people as they develop confidence, resilience and a sense of belonging.

“Music is simply the vehicle. What we’re really building is confidence, connection and a sense of belonging. Every week we see students discover what they’re capable of both on and off the stage.”
– Ken Martin

More Than Music

Recent independent research commissioned by School of Rock found:

  • 95% of parents reported their child was happier
  • 96% reported increased confidence
  • 92% observed improved teamwork and social skills
  • More than 80% reported a stronger sense of belonging

These outcomes reflect what many local families experience every day.

Students learn guitar, bass, drums, vocals and keys while rehearsing and performing in real bands, developing skills that extend far beyond music.

Thank You

This achievement belongs to every student who has stepped onto a stage, every parent who has supported their child’s musical journey, and every instructor and staff member who works tirelessly behind the scenes.

Thank you for helping us build a growing, passionate community dedicated to enriching lives through performance-based music education.

We look forward to continuing to inspire the next generation of musicians throughout the Hills District and beyond.
