About the Camp

Through this special 5-day songwriting camp, students will learn how to write their own songs! Students will analyze some of the greatest compositions of the last 60 years in order to develop their own tunes. They will learn about chord progressions, arrangements and other tricks of the trade. We’ll spend Monday through Friday learning and writing songs, all culminating in a live performance. This music camp is great for students 7-18 years old who have had previous instruction.

WEEKLY SCHEDULE

Camp runs Monday - Friday, 9am - 3pm each day. Each day consists of rehearsals, practice time and fun music-based games and activities. On Friday, campers will play and perform the songs they’ve been working on throughout the week!

WHAT TO EXPECT

Students can expect an exciting and educational week of learning music taught by our talented camp instructors. Each day, students will be asked to bring lunch, snacks, water, and hearing protection.

At School of Rock, we are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all campers. We kindly ask parents to avoid packing any nut products in lunches or snacks and to ensure no toys or real weapons are brought to camp. This helps us maintain a safe, inclusive space where everyone can focus on making music and having fun!
