School of Rock Students Shred the Jersey Shore in Epic Spring Season Finale
TOM'S RIVER / SEASIDE HEIGHTS, NJ – This past weekend, the Jersey Shore got a major dose of pure, unadulterated rock and roll. More than 40 incredibly talented students from all over Northern Ocean and Southern Monmouth Counties took to the stage on June 6th and 7th, delivering a weekend of high-energy, back-to-back performances that marked the grand finale of the School of Rock Brick Spring season.
The weekend-long rock marathon featured three distinct, hard-hitting tribute teams, each bringing their own unique vibe to area venues in Seaside Heights and Toms River:
Best of the ’80s: A neon-fueled trip down memory lane featuring massive synth-rock anthems and stadium-sized guitar solos.
Sk8er P*nk: A high-octane, rebellious set packed with fast riffs and infectious energy.
AC/DC vs. The Who: A clash of the classic rock titans that left crowds cheering for more.
The performing rosters, featuring musicians ages 11 to 17, blew the roofs off the venues. The shows perfectly highlighted the incredible growth of the local music community, showcasing a brilliant mix of seasoned veterans and fresh talent. Audiences were treated to truly breakout performances by newer, younger kids who stepped into the spotlight with absolute confidence, while the school’s established stars did what they do best—wowing the crowd with master-level showmanship.
"To see these kids, from age 11 to 17, channel their inner rock stars and command the stage like absolute pros is what School of Rock is all about," said Andrew Karlin, Owner & GM. "It's so gratifying to see students who came to us as shy 9- and 10-year-olds step up and be a lead singer or guitarist with a cheering crowd."
