CAMP DESCRIPTION

Come as we have Green Day, one of the most popular and influential bands of the 90s and early 2000s, battle Nirvana, the kings of Grunge! We will have Green Day's fun, high-energy music mainstream punk up against Nirvana's channeled teen angst. Throughout this 5-day music camp we’ll explore hits from some of Green Day's most popular albums, such as “Dookie,” “Warning,” “Insomniac,” “American Idiot”, and Nirvana's hits like “Smells Like Teen Spirit”, “Come As You Are”, and “In Bloom”. Students will then put on a live performance by the end of the week. Great for students 9-18 years of age who have had some previous instruction.

WEEKLY SCHEDULE

• Camp runs Monday - Thursday, 9am - 3pm
• Friday runs 9am - 1pm
• Each day will consist of rehearsals, practice time & fun music-based game & activities
• On Friday, campers will play and perform the songs they’ve been working on throughout the week!

WHAT TO EXPECT

Students can expect an exciting and educational week of learning music taught by our talented camp instructors. Each day, students will be asked to bring lunch, snacks, water, and hearing protection.

At School of Rock, we are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all campers. To help us maintain this space, we ask parents to avoid packing any nut products in lunches or snacks. We also prohibit any toy or real weapons from being brought to camp.
