About This Camp

Nu Metal, a mix of heavy metal, hip-hop, and alternative rock was made famous in the 90's with artists like System of a Down, Korn, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, Deftones, Slipknot, and many others. During this week-long summer camp, Monday through Friday will be spent learning the songs together as a band, with a small show on Friday! Perfect for students ages 8-18 with previous instruction and are aware of potential explicit lyrical content.

Weekly Schedule

• Camp runs Monday - Friday, 9am - 3pm each day
• Drop off is no earlier than 5 minutes before the start of camp
• Pick up is no later than 5 minutes after camp
• Each day will consist of rehearsals, practice time and fun music-based games and activities

Friday Performance

On Friday, campers will put on a show for family and friends by performing the songs they’ve been working on throughout the week. The show will take place at the School of Rock Deptford and will start promptly at 2:15pm.

What to Bring?

• Campers must bring their own lunch each day
• Guitarists should bring their own guitar (or bass) if they own one
• Guitarists should bring straps, picks, extra strings, etc
• Vocalists should bring their own microphone if they own one
• Drummers must bring their own drumsticks
• Campers must bring their own hearing protection (available for purchase)

At School of Rock, we are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all campers. To help us maintain this space, we ask parents to avoid packing any nut products in lunches or snacks. We also prohibit any toy or real weapons from being brought to camp.
