On June 27, our School of Rock Doylestown House Band will climb aboard the bus and begin one of the most exciting weeks of the year.

The 2026 Queen City Tour will take our students from Pennsylvania to Washington, D.C., North Carolina, South Carolina, Maryland, and back home again. Along the way they'll perform at legendary venues, meet fellow School of Rock students from other states, and experience what it's like to spend a week on the road as working musicians.

Tour stops include the Hard Rock Cafe in Washington, D.C., The Move in Greensboro, North Carolina, Common Market South End in Charlotte, B.C. Brewery in Maryland, and School of Rock Downingtown. Students will also have the opportunity to connect and perform with School of Rock musicians from North Carolina and Virginia while making memories that will last long after the final show.

For many of these students, the tour is the culmination of years of lessons, rehearsals, performances, and dedication.

What Is House Band?

House Band is School of Rock's audition-based performance team. Each year, students audition for a limited number of spots. Those selected represent the school at community events, festivals, special performances, and regional showcases throughout the year.

The audition process is competitive, but being part of House Band is about much more than musical ability. Students earn their place through commitment, preparation, teamwork, and a willingness to support one another both on and off the stage.

More Than a Performance

While the audience sees the finished performance, there is so much more happening behind the scenes.

Throughout the tour, students will participate in sound checks, adapt to different stages and venues, work together to solve problems, and learn how to perform in new environments night after night. They'll spend hours together traveling, rehearsing, performing, and sharing experiences that strengthen friendships and build confidence.

These are the moments that often become the most memorable part of the journey.

Why We Tour

Music has always been about connection.

One of the most rewarding parts of the Queen City Tour is watching students from different schools come together through a shared love of music. Students who have never met before quickly become friends, learn from one another, and discover that they are part of something much larger than their own local community.

For our House Band members, the tour is a chance to step outside their comfort zones, grow as performers, and create memories that will stay with them for years.

We Couldn't Be More Proud

Every student on this year's House Band has worked hard to earn their place on the team. They have dedicated countless hours to lessons, rehearsals, performances, and preparation.

As they head out on the road this summer, they carry with them not only their instruments but the support of their families, friends, instructors, and the entire School of Rock Doylestown community.

We can't wait to follow their journey.
