HUNTINGTON, NY - School of Rock Huntington has officially closed the curtain on its Spring 2026 Season, capping off months of music lessons, band rehearsals, and live performance preparation with a Spring Seasonal Showcase held June 13 and 14 at Bellmore Movies & Showplace in Bellmore, NY. The season, which launched in February 2026, brought together students ranging from ages 7 through adult, spanning beginner musicians to advanced performers, for two nights of live rock music on a real stage, in front of a real audience.
School of Rock Huntington's performance-based music program gives students of all ages and skill levels the opportunity to learn guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, and vocals while working toward a live performance goal each season. The Spring 2026 Season was no exception, with students across the Performance Program rising to the occasion and delivering one of the school's most memorable showcases to date.
ROCK 101 - DECADES OF AWESOME
Students ages 7 to 9 in Rock 101, School of Rock Huntington's introductory performance program for young musicians, took the stage with Decades of Awesome, a high-energy celebration of rock music's most iconic eras. For many of these beginner musicians, the Spring Showcase represented their first experience performing live in front of an audience, a milestone that lies at the heart of the School of Rock experience. HAIR METAL
Students ages 10 to 12 in Rock 102 cranked up the volume and the attitude with a Hair Metal program, channeling the pyrotechnic guitar solos, anthemic choruses, and larger-than-life energy that defined one of rock's most theatrical genres. Learning to perform as a cohesive band, with students on guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, and vocals all working in sync, the Rock 102 students demonstrated the kind of musical growth and stagecraft that comes from a full season of dedicated rehearsal and music instruction.
A TRIBUTE TO LED ZEPPELIN
Rock 103, School of Rock Huntington's program for teenage musicians and high school students, took on one of the most ambitious and technically demanding programs of the weekend, a full Led Zeppelin tribute. Tackling the guitar work of Jimmy Page, the thunderous bass of John Paul Jones, the powerhouse drumming of John Bonham, and the soaring vocals of Robert Plant is no small feat for any musicians, let alone a student ensemble. The Rock 103 students met the challenge head-on, delivering a set that honored the depth and complexity of one of rock's most legendary catalogues.

A TRIBUTE TO CBGB
Closing out the showcase, School of Rock Huntington's Grad School program, open to adult musicians ages 18 and older, joined forces with adult students from School of Rock Rockville Centre, Roslyn, and Syosset/Oyster Bay for a powerful combined CBGB performance. The set paid tribute to the legendary New York City club that gave birth to punk and new wave, and the acts, including the Ramones, Blondie, Talking Heads, and Television, who made it famous. The combined Grad School performance is a highlight of the seasonal showcase calendar, bringing together adult music students from across Long Island's School of Rock community for a unified live performance experience.
A SEASON OF GROWTH, PERFORMANCE AND LIVE MUSIC EDUCATION
The Spring 2026 Season at School of Rock Huntington reflects the school's core philosophy: that the best way to learn music is to perform it live. Rather than traditional one-on-one music lessons, School of Rock's group performance model puts students of all ages, from 7-year-old beginners picking up an instrument for the first time to adult musicians refining their craft, into a real band environment, working together toward a shared performance goal.
"So many of these students had never picked up an instrument before this season, and now they're here putting on real performances for their friends and family. It's what School of Rock is all about," said Dylan Gross, Regional Music Director at School of Rock Huntington. "This spring season showed just how far every single one of these students has come, and we couldn't be prouder of what they learned this season."
