Position: Studio Coordinator


Location: Johns Creek, GA (Local Candidates Please)

School of Rock is the original performance-based, interactive music school founded in 1998 in Philadelphia. With over 220 schools and a strong nationally recognized brand, School of Rock is the largest after school music education provider. School of Rock’s mission is to inspire the world to rock onstage, and in life!

This is a part-time hourly position; the ideal candidate is someone looking for something to supplement their current income and can work evenings and Saturdays. Over the summer there may be opportunities to work in the mornings for camps. This person provides overall administrative support for the school. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, has outstanding customer service skills and the ability to juggle many tasks in a busy environment.


Answers phone calls and emails regarding inquiries about SORJC

Coordinates instructors’ schedules

Assists the General Manager, Music Director and Instructors with administrative tasks

Lead tours for prospective students and parents

Greets students, manages lobby

Handles opening and closing of school

Assists with event coordination

Assists with some marketing

Onboarding new students

Candidate Requirements:

Two years + working reception, retail or other customer service role

Self-starter, can work independently and shows initiative

Personable, able to articulate what we do

Welcoming, outgoing demeanor essential

Ability to work evenings and Saturdays

Reliable and flexible

Experience with databases very helpful

Strong computer skills

Organized, high detail orientation, multi-tasker

Good team player who collaborates well

Great with kids

Interest in music and related arts or experience working with young people a plus


Customer Service: 2 years (Required)

Retail or Sales: 2 years (Required)


Associate (Preferred)

Part-Time Music Instructor
(Guitar and Bass required; Vocals, Drums, and Keys a plus)


Reports To: General Manager & Music Director

Location: Johns Creek, GA (Johns Creek & Surrounding Area Candidates Only Please)

Our Music Instructor provides quality music instruction through private lessons, rehearsals and shows for School of Rock Johns Creek. This role creates a safe and inspiring environment for students to achieve their musical and creative potential and insures that each School of Rock student has a positive, exceptional musical journey. Ideal candidates are former or current working musicians who also have formal music school training. This is part-time hourly position.

Roles and Responsibilities:

-Teach students the fundamentals of music
-Create and document thoughtful lesson plans
-Communicate regularly with parents on progress of students after lessons
-Help with substitute lessons
-Assisting in the overall execution of the School of Rock program from rehearsals and concerts to the music lessons provided at the school.

Skill Requirements:

-4 + years’ experience teaching and/or performing music professionally or certificate/degree
-Knowledge of music theory
-Able to work well with students of varying degrees of ability
-Strong organizational skills
-Very strong customer relations skills
-Resourceful and good problem-solver
-Team player
-Works well under pressure
-Flexible and adaptable
-Enthusiastic with a positive demeanor
-Great with kids
-Must have good judgement
