RADFEST returns to Axelrad in Houston, TX, November 20–22, 2026, for three days of live music, local artists and performances from the School of Rock community. Hosted by Axelrad and School of Rock, this all-ages Houston music festival will feature more than 50 bands, local vendors and live performances throughout the weekend.

RADFEST is a 3-day music festival featuring national acts, local bands and School of Rock student bands at local venue favorite Axelrad Beer Garden. Attendees will enjoy live music on three stages, a vendor market of local artisans and dealers, delicious food options from several local food sellers and of course, the great beer, cocktail and mocktail menu from Axelrad.
Our aim for RADFEST is two-fold: to revive the Houston festival scene and to guide our graduating School of Rock students into a safe and viable environment to merge into the local music scene. RADFEST seeks to bridge the gap by bringing together student bands, local bands and national acts on the same stage and Axelrad Beer Garden is the perfect environment to do that safely and successfully.
2026 marks the second year for RADFEST and we're expanding from one day to three full days celebrating local music. Friday night is our kickoff party featuring band favorites from last year's lineup. Saturday and Sunday will feature performances from School of Rock House Bands from all over Houston and Texas as well as local Houston acts with evening sets from headliners and supporting acts.
Axelrad Beer Garden has been awarded Houston's Best Beer Garden by Houston Press for several consecutive years for their outstanding beer selection, comfortable environment and eclectic event schedule. They're event calendar is jam-packed with events featuring live jazz, international music, film screenings, and more. Axelrad Beer Garden, voted Best Beer Garden 2024 in the Houston Press, is a family-friendly music and arts venue that promotes local bands and up and coming artists. Our School of Rock graduates have found a home there working with a venue that keeps the music grass-roots and local-based. While all the "big city festivals" are working to commercialize with national acts, Axelrad has promoted bands with School of Rock grads such as The Shroons, Beside Jupiter and Garbage Girlfriend to provide a safe and welcoming environment for new artists to thrive in the local Houston music scene. What better partnership could exist than Axelrad and School of Rock?

Where will RADFEST 2026 take place?
RADFEST 2026 will take place at Axelrad Beer Garden, 1517 Alabama Street, Houston, TX 77004.
What are my parking options for RADFEST?
There are several parking options for RADFEST. We encourage ride sharing, as parking for large events tend be limited. There are several paid parking garages throughout downtown Houston with a short uber ride to the venue. The lot across the street from the Axelrad front door as well as the one catty corner are paid lots. Parking is closed for RADFEST at Luigi's and Retrospect Coffee - these are reserved for festival staff. Street parking is at your own risk. Please remove all valuables from your vehicle and make sure your vehicle is locked and secured. Do not park in the Houston Community College lot as all non-students will receive parking tickets. RADFEST is for all ages! Axelrad is a family-friendly environment and RADFEST is a great event for the entire family to enjoy!

Yes, food is available at RADFEST! You will have several food options from local vendors in the garden area of the festival adjacent to the Main Stage, as well as Luigi's Pizzeria connected directly to the Main Stage area.
