ABOUT THIS CAMP
Want to play in a band onstage? Our Rock 101 camp is designed for beginners 6-10 years of age. No experience necessary! Students will explore their instruments through musical games and activities. Students will learn songs by artists such as the White Stripes, Green Day and Imagine Dragons. Our nurturing environment makes this the perfect camp for budding musicians. Students will work on songs Monday through Friday and the camp will culminate in a concert at the end of the week for family and friends.
WEEKLY SCHEDULE
- Camp runs Monday through Friday 10:00am - 3:00pm each day. Friday Performance is at 3:30pm.
- Drop off is no earlier than 9:50am each day
- Pick up is no later than 3:30pm each day
- Each day will consist of rehearsals, practice time & fun music-based games/activities
FRIDAY PERFORMANCE
On Friday, campers will put on a show for family and friends and perform the songs they’ve been working on all week. The show will take place at the school at 3:30pm. Parents can arrive as early as 2:45pm to set up lawn chairs and blankets in the backyard.
RAMP UP TO CAMP PROGRAM
Ramp to Camp is an optional program designed to help new campers feel confident and prepared for camp. It includes four, 30 minute one on one sessions with an instructor. Students will:
- Learn the basics of your instrument or strengthen specific skills
- Get familiar with some of the camp songs
- Gain confidence before joining their band for the week.
- It’s the perfect warm-up for newer musicians or tune up for more experienced players — helping campers hit the ground running on day one!
- These sessions are customized to the camper's needs. Many campers will participate in this optional program a month prior to camp.

PARKING/DROP OFF
We are located on Boston Rd in Madison, a few doors over from Scranton Library. We have a long driveway that you can drive down, park and bring your child inside to sign them in and out each day for camp. There is also convenient street parking (on a non busy road) directly across the street from the school!
CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellations up to 30 days prior to the start of camp will receive a 50% refund. No refunds are provided for cancellations less than 30 days prior to the start of camp. In the event that School of Rock must cancel a camp for any reason (such as not enough campers), a full refund will be provided.
