SCHOOL OF ROCK TAKES OVER ST. CLEMENT OF ROME FALL FEST — FREE, OUTDOORS, ALL AGES IN METAIRIE

Fall is loud this year. On Sunday, November 15, School of Rock Metairie / New Orleans is dragging the amps outside and plugging in at the St. Clement of Rome Fall Fest — an afternoon of live music, food, and family fun right in the middle of Metairie. Real instruments, real volume, real stage presence, because that's the only way we know how to do it.

The band on that stage is our students. Kids who've spent the whole season in our rehearsal rooms learning these songs part by part, working them up with their bandmates, and getting them tight enough to play in front of strangers on a Sunday afternoon. There's a moment every parent recognizes — when a kid stops practicing scales alone in a bedroom and starts playing shows. That moment is the whole point, and you get to watch it happen live.

School of Rock Metairie / New Orleans is an extracurricular, performance-based music school for ages 4 through adult. Guitar, bass, drums, keys, vocals — taught in a band, aimed at a stage. Live student performance isn't a side benefit here, it's the culture, in Metairie and in every School of Rock city around the world. These are the players who'll be filling stages around New Orleans for the next twenty years, and this is where they start.
