Rock 101 is where it starts — the program for students learning their first songs, their first chords, and what it feels like to play in a band instead of a practice room. On Sunday, September 20, they take that work out of the rehearsal space and onto a real stage at The Broadside.

This is a full live show: real amps, real lights, real sound, and for a lot of these students, the first time they've ever played in front of a crowd. That moment is the whole point of how we teach. You don't learn to perform by practicing alone — you learn it by walking up to a microphone with people watching and doing it anyway.

Come out and be that crowd. Bring the family, bring the grandparents, bring anyone who's been hearing these songs through a bedroom door all season. The room is better when it's loud.
