Jon Batiste is launching an ambitious three‑album piano project that reimagines musical history through a modern lens. The first release, Black Mozart, arrives June 19 and reframes Mozart’s work with the rhythms, harmonies, and improvisational language of Black American music. Two more albums follow on August 14 — Monk Meditations and Monk Movements — each exploring a different side of Thelonious Monk’s influence on Batiste’s artistry. Together, the trilogy highlights Batiste’s signature blend of classical foundations, jazz innovation, and cultural storytelling, expanding his Batiste Piano Series into a bold new chapter.
