Director’s Choice – School of Rock Summer 2026 Show Season Get ready for one of the most exciting and unpredictable shows of the year—Director’s Choice!

This season flips the script and puts the creative power in the hands of our expert Show Directors, who will build each setlist from the ground up based on the unique talents and personalities of the students in their cast.

That means no two shows are the same—and every performance is packed with energy, variety, and moments designed to let each student shine.

From the timeless grooves of the ’60s to the anthems of the 2000s, this show will take audiences on a journey through the full spectrum of rock and roll. Expect a dynamic mix of classic rock, pop hits, hard rock, and metal, all woven together into a high-impact live performance that keeps both players and audiences on their toes.

Whether you’re a beginner ready to step onto the stage for the first time or a seasoned performer looking to be challenged, Director’s Choice is all about growth, collaboration, and discovering what you’re truly capable of as a musician.

To top it all off, this season culminates in a full weekend of performances, with shows taking place in both Mandeville, LA and New Orleans, LA. Students from both the Northshore and Metairie schools will take the stage at both locations—giving performers the chance to play multiple shows, connect with a wider audience, and experience the thrill of a true touring-style weekend.
