Every synthesizer sound — from a Moog bass to a cinematic pad to a sci-fi sweep — starts with the same four building blocks: an oscillator that generates the raw tone, a filter that shapes it, an amplifier that controls its volume over time, and an output that sends it to your ears. In this workshop, you'll learn how those pieces connect and then build and modify sounds on one our in-house keyboards. We'll cover LFOs, envelopes, and modulation — the tools that put movement and life into a sound — and work through recreating some classic tones: lush pads, cutting leads, fat bass patches, and sweeping textures.
