CAMP DESCRIPTION
Through this special 5-day songwriting camp, students will learn how to write their own songs! Students will analyze some of the greatest compositions of the last 60 years in order to develop their own tunes. They will learn about chord progressions, arrangements and other tricks of the trade. We’ll spend Monday through Friday learning and writing songs, all culminating in a live performance Friday at 1.30 PM. This music camp is great for students 7-18 years old who have had previous instruction.
WEEKLY SCHEDULE
- Monday–Friday - 9:30 AM – 2:30 PM (rehearsals, practice time, music-based games and activities.
- Friday Performance - 1:30 PM (campers perform the songs they worked on during the week).
WHAT TO EXPECT
- Learn songs, jam together, build band skills.
- Creative, fun, high-energy environment.
WHAT TO BRING
- Lunch/snacks, water bottle.
- Hearing protection (available for purchase at the front desk).
REMINDERS
- No nut products.
- No toy guns or weapon-like objects.
Cancellation policy
Camps canceled at least 30 days before the start date receive a 50% refund OR a 100% credit toward other School of Rock South Plainfield programs (valid for 3 months). Cancellations within 29 days are non-refundable. To cancel, please contact our staff at (908) 633-1234.
