Summer 2026 Performance Program
Welcome to the Summer 2026 season! We're so happy to have you with us. We have a couple basic things below for anyone who is curious as to how the Summer Performance season will be ran. If you have been with us in the past, most of this is probably not new to you. Simply scroll down to the Important Dates section to see what you need to know that specifically pertains to the Summer Season! Any first-timers or mid-season joiners, feel free to read all of this document to learn how we run a standard season!
What To Expect
We’re casting in three phases as usual, with slightly shorter windows given the shorter length of the Summer Season. The first phase puts all students on equal footing in terms of song count. As students master these songs, we will begin to introduce the next phase, and so on. During the second and third phases every student will still receive new songs, but some students may receive more than others depending on attendance, work ethic, etc. During a shorter season like summer, it is possible some groups may not learn all of their songs fast enough to prepare all the songs from the third phase of casting, so some groups may perform slightly less songs than other groups. We ultimately do our absolute best to help the kids master as many songs as possible in a season, but please keep in mind how that looks different for every group from season to season.
Students may also be asked to understudy on a song. While this song will not be a main fixture of their rehearsals or performances, this will help greatly on days where certain players don’t make it to rehearsal, or if a student has to miss the End of Season Showcase and a song needs coverage. This allows your student to get more varied knowledge and experience in from learning more material, even if they don't end up performing it at showcases.
Attendance Policy
We understand that our students are very busy, and sometimes have to miss their rehearsal or lessons. Please make sure to call or email the school if you know your student will be absent at least 24 hours in advance. This helps instructors plan the best rehearsal possible. Please note that students with better attendance can end up with more songs than students with worse attendance.

What are show fees?
If this is your first season with us, no worries! We're happy to explain. Show Fees help us throw the amazing showcases our students get to perform at every season! Lately we have been able to secure some unforgettable experiences for the students at iconic Houston venues, like White Oak Music Hall on the Downstairs stage for example, and we plan to keep this momentum going!
The show fee charge is $150 for End of Season, and it includes seasonal memorabilia for your student to take home at the end of the season. These items change every season.
More info on what is included this summer will be provided as the showcase gets closer.
There is NO MIDSEASON CONCERT this Summer.
Due to the Summer Season being notably shorter than our Fall and Spring seasons to better line up with the academic school year, we keep our focus to one big End of Season performance with the time we have.
