We are thrilled to announce that we are now using School of Rock Online for all remote lessons. We are no longer using Zoom. SoR Online is an exciting new platform built specifically for music instruction at School of Rock. Over the last two years, we have learned that online lessons can serve as a very important tool to offer flexibility, convenience, and continuity to all of our students and instructors. However, traditional video conferencing solutions aren’t built with music instruction as their primary use case, and there are many ways in which these tools underperform. To provide a better experience we have created School of Rock Online.
School of Rock Online is our Zoom replacement for online lessons. It features enhanced video and audio quality, making it a much better tool than Zoom for music lessons. Additionally, it features built-in tools such as a tuner, metronome, a chord generator for guitar, a virtual keyboard, and more. It’s also integrated with our Method App, making it easier than ever to find and join your lesson, and ensuring a safe learning environment for everyone.
When logging in to the Method App, you will see some new buttons pertaining to “Online Lessons” or “Lessons”. If you are taking lessons in person, nothing will change. If you are taking lessons online remotely, you will be able to enter the lesson through the Method App, by downloading and accessing the new School of Rock Online App, or by signing into https://lessons.schoolofrock.com/. Safety, security, and providing the best experience for our entire community are always a top priority for us. If you are interested in learning more about School of Rock Online, please let us know.
If you have a remote lesson coming up please allow extra time to make sure you can log in without any issues. We are here to help.
