marketing internship (unpaid fall internship)

Location: Teaneck, NJ

School of Rock is looking for a few good interns for the fall semester! We are a national music education school that teaches kids music through a performance-based method. Our mission is to inspire kids to rock on stage and in life. We are seeking interns to help with a variety of projects – lots of research, writing and lots of brainstorming! The Marketing Intern will assist School of Rock’s Marketing staff with a number of projects to support the organization’s needs. The Marketing intern will identify, research, and collect demographic information on new and future projects; research and review promotional strategies of other organizations and participate in group strategy brain storming sessions and meetings; work collaboratively with School of Rock staff to help develop marketing campaigns, coordinate pr efforts and mailings; any other administrative tasks that may arise. Multiple internship opportunities available.


  • Currently enrolled in an accredited academic institution (NO EXCEPTIONS); upper-class undergraduate students (junior or senior preferred)
  • A major in business administration, marketing, public relations, journalism, communications or a related field
  • A clear interest in marketing, publicity, social media and music/music education
  • Strong writing skills and skilled in online searching
  • Strong verbal and analytical skills, Meticulous attention to detail, strong work ethic.
  • Web content management skills
  • Creative thinker who likes to come up with new and different ideas
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Must do well under pressure and be very dependable as well as accountable, good follow-up and time management skills
  • For Credit Only; approximately 15-20 hours per week
