How long have you been playing:    4 years

Describe the first time you played live to an audience:

Stressful, very stressful, scary but fun! I had been taking lessons for about 7 months and joined Rock 101 and I went up on a stage at Grace O’Malley’s with my Squire Sunburst Bullet Strat. I rocked out to “One Way Or Another” by Blondie and “The Hardest Button to Button” by The White Stripes.

Coolest rock and rock moment you’ve ever had?:

Back in November I played the national anthem at Lansdowne with my friend Noah in front of thousands of people. That was a crazy cool opportunity / experience that I have ever had so far!

What was the hardest thing to get through as you were learning?

There are a lot of things: “finger pain”; “stage fright” but the hardest thing I have had to face was the frustration of not getting something down right away. That is what the human species wants and there’s not much you can do but practice and practice even more and the more you practice the better you get.

Why do you like School of Rock?

I like School of Rock for a lot of reasons such as I made friends with the same interests as me, made me more confident and happy with myself and it’s my home away from home. I go there all the time for lessons, practice etc. and don’t feel stressed or nervous because when I walk in there I just chill out and play music. Going there is the highlight of my day. Now, even if everyone else has the same or a similar answer it doesn’t matter because that’s the truth and School of Rock is the only place I call MY home away from home
