Spring '23 performance themes and rehearsal times
DRUMAGEDDON – Mondays 6:30 - 8:30
This show will highlight some of the great songs and practitioners of Rock N Roll drumming, featuring songs by artists like Led Zeppelin, Rush, Allman Brothers, Santana and more! This show won't just be for drummers, there will be great parts for all the roles in the band!
CBGBs – Tuesdays 6:30 - 8:30
In the mid-late 70s, bands like The Ramones, Blondie, Talking Heads, Television, and more cut their teeth on stage at the Lower East Side music venue CBGBs, considered the birthplace of punk rock.
MUSE – Wednesdays 4:00 - 6:00pm
Muse’s music is epic and anthemic, and this show will have lots of fun challenges for students to reach toward the next level of their musicianship and performance skills.
CLASSIC METAL – Wednesdays 6:00 - 8:00pm
Classic Metal includes 1960s Proto-Metal sound of Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin through the mid 1980s, when Thrash Metal reigned supreme with bands like the ‘big four,' Metallica, Anthrax, Megadeth and Slayer. This will be a good choice for students who are ready to shred!
70s FUNK & SOUL – Thursdays 6:30-8:30
This show will feature groovy hits by artists like Stevie Wonder, Rufus and Shaka, The Jackson 5, and more, with lots fo great parts for students on all instruments and all vocal ranges!
PROG ROCK – Fridays 6:00 - 8:00pm
Characterized by its musical complexity, this show will challenge intermediate and advanced students ready to take on songs by bands like Rush, Yes, Kansas, Tool, and more. Recommended for students who are ready to practice hard!
ROLLING STONES – Sat 1:00 - 3:00pm
The Stones’ played the bad boys in contrast to the Beatles comparatively clean cut image, and have produced decades of incredible rock music. This show is a must for all School of Rock students at some point in their time here.
BEST OF ORANGE COUNTY – Sundays 1:00 - 3:00pm
