Bands like Linkin Park, Korn, and Limp Bizkit helped popularize nu-metal, making it a defining sound of the early 2000s.

CAMP DESCRIPTION:

Nu-metal is a subgenre of rock music that emerged in the late 1990s, blending elements of heavy metal, hip-hop, alternative rock, and grunge. Known for its aggressive sound, it often features distorted guitar riffs, rapped or screamed vocals, and electronic or industrial influences. Bands like Korn, Limp Bizkit, and Linkin Park were key players in popularizing the genre, creating a raw, emotionally charged style that resonated with a generation of listeners. Lyrics often explore themes of angst, personal struggle, and alienation, making nu-metal particularly relatable to younger audiences.
