In this special 4-day music camp, students will analyze some of the greatest compositions of the last 60 years and learn how to write their own songs.

Through this special 4-day songwriting camp, students will learn how to write their own songs. Students will analyze some of the greatest compositions of the last 60 years in order to develop their own tunes. They will learn about chord progressions, arrangements and other tricks of the trade. We’ll spend Monday through Thursday learning and writing songs and preparing a simple recording. Great for students 12-17 years of age who have had previous instruction.
WEEKLY SCHEDULE
- Camp runs Monday - Thursday, 9am - 3pm each day
- Each day will have brainstorming sessions, songwriting exercises and writing and arrangement practice
- Towards the end of camp the focus will be on pre-production (planning and rehearsing for recording)
- Students will take home an audio recording of their work
WHAT TO EXPECT
Students can expect an exciting and educational week of learning music taught by our talented camp instructors. Each day, students will be asked to bring lunch, snacks, water and hearing protection.
CANCELLATION POLICY
A full refund will be offered on cancelled camps up to 15 days prior to the camp start date. Cancellations within 14 days before camp are not eligible for a refund.
