School of Rock Columbia will be partnering up with Merriweather Teens for Teen Night!

 

What is Merriweather Teens: Merriweather Teen Night is a free program open to teens (13-18 yrs
old) designed to provide an enjoyable and social experience for Howard County teens in a
safe, inclusive, and inviting space. Through this initiative we aim to encourage social
development, community building, and fun amongst our youth.


Event: Merriweather Teens Student Showcase


Date: Saturday, July 12, 2025


Time: Doors open: 5:00 PM/ Event ends 9:00 PM


Location: Merriweather Post Pavilion, 10475 Little Patuxent Pkwy, Columbia, MD 21044, West
Plaza/ Stage Area)


Admission: FREE! Registration will be handled via Google Forms (separate from audition
registration)


Event Description: Get ready for a night like no other! Merriweather Teen Night is back—bigger,
bolder, and totally teen led. This is your chance to light up the legendary Merriweather Post
Pavilion stage in front of friends, family, and the entire Howard County community!
We’re turning the spotlight on Howard County’s most talented teens—from singers, bands,
dancers, rappers, poets, theater performers, and more. Whether you’re part of a school club,
arts organization, or flying solo with your own creative spark, this is your moment to shine! All
performances will be audition-based.


Performers: This event will feature amazing teen artists from all over Howard County.


Other Activities: After the showcase, there are several activities, including: game truck, free
pinball, photo booth, henna artist, and caricature artists.
Food/Concessions: Merriweather concessions will be open and offer a low-cost, community
menu of standard items. Also, Free Kona ICE!

The Merriweather Arts and Culture Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that owns
Merriweather Post Pavilion and is dedicated to growing arts, culture, and community. As the
community steward of Merriweather Post Pavilion, MACC collaborates with community partners,
businesses, government, and educational institutions to produce, present, and promote artistic,
learning and community programs that engage, uplift, and inspire—and that are accessible and
welcoming to all.
