Rock 101 camp is for beginners 7-12 years of age. No experience needed. Students will explore their instruments through musical games and activities!

About this Camp

Want to play in a band on stage? Our Rock 101 music camp is designed for beginners 8-12 years old. No experience necessary! Students will explore their instruments through musical games and activities. Our nurturing environment makes this the perfect camp for budding musicians. Already a current Rock 101 student? This is a great way to level-up your performance! Students will work on songs Monday through Friday and the camp will culminate in a concert at the end of the week for family and friends.

Schedule

Camp runs Monday - Friday from 9am - 3 pm each day, with a Friday performance at 3pm.
Drop off will be at 8:45am each day
Pick up will be no later than 3:15pm Monday - Thursday
Each day will consist of rehearsals, practice time, and fun music-based games/activities, culminating in a live performance Friday!

Friday Performance

On Friday, campers will put on a show for family and friends and perform the song they’ve been working oon all week. The show will take place at School of Rock East Cobb at 3pm. More details will be provided on the first day of camp!

What to bring

Hearing protection is required for all campers. (We have ear plugs available for purchase if needed. Simple foam earplugs, or over-the-head headphone-style protection works!

Students should bring a packed lunch each day- they will be kept refrigerated until lunchtime.

All students should also bring a water bottle, notebook or folder with paper, and a writing utensil for camp.

In terms of equipment, students should bring the following depending on their instrument:

• Guitarists: Pick, guitar strap, and strap (if they have their own)
• Bassists: Bass strap and bass (if they have their own)
• Drummers: Drumsticks
• Keyboardists: No equipment required
• Vocalists: No equipment required

Please let us know ahead of time if your student will need to borrow an instrument! Please note that campers may rotate through and play different instruments throughout the camp depending on the needs of the band.

Cancellation policy

The health and safety of our students is our top priority. Camps that are canceled up to 7 days prior to the start of camp can receive a full refund of an account credit to be used for any School of Rock East Cobb program/camp or a refund back to the card used minus a $50 cancellation fee. If the camp is canceled within 24 hours of the start of the camp, full refund of an account credit to be used for any School of Rock East Cobb program/camp or a 50% refund back to the card used.
