In this special 5-day camp, students will analyze some of the greatest compositions of the last 60 years and learn how to write their own songs!
About this Camp
Our illustrious School of Rock staff members will guide you along every step of the songwriting process, and will be an immense source of experience and wisdom on account of their own recording and performing careers! Expect your experience to include extensive instruction and practice in: writing lyrics, building song forms, chord progressions, melody, harmony, workshopping ideas as a group, the recording process, and more! Camp will culminate with an onsite studio day with a professional recording engineer on Friday where they will record the songs they write, and then put on a live performance of their songs. Our Songwriting Camp is open to students ages 11 and up, and no prior songwriting or recording experience is required. At least a beginner-level proficiency on an instrument or vocals is suggested for prospective students.
