School of Rock Eden Prairie's Rookies music class, for ages 5-7, begins its Spring session the first week of April. The Rookies Program focuses on Rhythm, Pitch, Ear-Training, Music Theory, Dynamics and Kinesthetic Application on real musical instruments. Students are introduced to playing ukulele, guitar, bass, drums, keys/piano and singing. Through group lessons incorporating interactive activities, exposure to bands, and experience on multiple instruments students come to understand the art of music in a fun, positive, team-oriented environment.

"Have you ever seen a 4-year-old that didn't like music? No, us either. Music brings great joy to kids and since we are the place "for family fun" we thought it would be fun to have a Macaroni Kid Music Class.": So wrote the editors of Macaroni Kid Eden Prairie. They reached out to us at School of Rock to see if we'd be interested in partnering with them to bring this music education class to preschoolers in Eden Prairie and we very quickly said, "YES!" Unlike some free music classes that are only a one-time visit, Macaroni Kid Eden Prairie is covering the FULL, ONGOING TUITION for your pre-schooler. Space is limited and registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis, so act quickly if you want to enroll your 4-year-old in Little Wing Music Class. You can enroll for class every week, every other week or whatever works for you? Want to come just one time? That's OK too. Class time is 2:15 - 2:45 on Tuesdays Call 952-934-7625 to reserve a spot. In recognition of her excellence at managing our complex student schedule and her welcoming attitude to everyone who comes through our doors, Sarah Etheridge has been promoted to Studio Manager. In her new role she will continue to be the point person for lesson times and schedule changes and she is taking on the added responsibility of being the first point of conduct for prospective students interested in exploring music lessons at School of Rock. Sarah joined School of Rock Eden Prairie in August 2018 within one week of moving to the Twin Cities. A recent graduate of Iowa State University, Sarah chose to move to the Twin Cities due to our vibrant music scene and midwest hospitality. She holds a degree in Theatre; Acting and Directing and a minor in Vocal Performance.
