Our free Rocking Rookies classes are perfect for students who are interested in music! With classes for students aged 4-12 years, our Rocking Rookies will get students introduced to music at an age appropriate level. Students will get to play music based games, learn about music, get introduced to instruments, and get playing together as a band.

Group classes offered for Little Wing (4-5Y) and Rookies (6-7Y). Students 8Y+ are ready to rock on an instrument of their choice! Get a 30 minute free trial on student's instrument of choice - keys, guitar, bass, drums or vocals.

Little Wing

This free mini class will be music to your ears! Created for 4-5 year olds, students will be introduced to our rock instruments here at the school. Little Wing students will get a chance to rock out on the drums, guitar or bass, kill it at keys and bring the show home with a catchy melody. This class will feature a music based game, introduction to our instruments, and a chance to play them themselves.

Rookies

This free mini class is perfect for students aged 6-7! Serving as an introduction to our Rookies class, students will get to try their hand at one of our rock instruments we offer at the school. Whether they are holding down the beat on drums or bass, locking in on guitar or keys, or bringing the show home with a catchy melody, we'll get students started playing together in a band. This class will also feature a music based game before starting the jam session! No experience required.

Rock 101, Performance Program & Lessons

Students of all ages can come in for a trial of the instrument of their choice - keys, drums, guitar, bass or vocals. Rock 101 serves as the starting point for beginner musicians, perfect for students ages 8-12. This beginner friendly program features music vocabulary, music based games, and band rehearsal.

For students who are already proficient at their instrument, Performance Program offers students increasing complex material to help them grow as a musician. Choose between 4 shows themes each season, meet for band rehearsals each week, and then finish the season off with a show at a local venue. School of Rock Elmhurst has played at some notable venues in and around Chicago, including Schubas, Lincoln Hall, Fitzgerald's, Chop Shop and many more.

Adult Performance Program is for students 18+, giving them the opportunity to pick up an instrument, get a refresher, or become a better player. Adult students get to take the stage around local venues, playing gigs at Balleydoyle, The Piazza, The Cubby Bear, Fitzgerald's and more.
