Come As You Are to be apart of our 5 Day camp celebrating the pioneer's of the 90s Grunge Movement, Nirvana!
CAMP DESCRIPTION
Nirvana was one of the pioneers of the Grunge Movement in the late 80s/early 90s. Combining elements of Punk, Metal, and Pop, Nirvana channeled teen angst into Rock’s last sweeping mainstream movement. Their record, Nevermind, is considered to be one of the pinnacles of the Grunge movement with tracks like “Smells Like Teen Spirit”, “Come As You Are”, and “In Bloom”, which skyrocketed Nirvana into mainstream success. While the band’s career was cut short by Cobain’s untimely death in 1994, Nirvana has remained a prominent music legend due to their innovative sound and their influence

WHAT TO EXPECT
Students can expect an exciting and educational week of learning music taught by our talented camp instructors. Each day, students will be asked to bring lunch, snacks, water, and hearing protection. At School of Rock, we are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all campers. To help us maintain this space, we ask parents to avoid packing any nut products in lunches or snacks. We also prohibit any toy or real weapons from being brought to camp.
"My kid has gone from not knowing how to play an instrument, to playing drums, guitar, and singing. He has only been playing drums for about 6 months and he is incredible! School of rock really knows how to work with children, all the way to adults. Their concerts are fun and the whole staff treat you like family" - Rocker Dad Wes
