Vince Moreno
Co-Owner, General Manager
Vince Moreno is the co-owner and general manager of School of Rock Fulshear. Vince began his School of Rock career at the Katy location where he worked part-time as the House Band audio engineer, then as a performance group instructor, and finally as the leader of the adult band program. In his past life, he was a broadcast engineer at Houston's KPRC TV for more than 30 years. Upon early retirement, Vince followed his deep passion for music and launched School of Rock Fulshear, with his wife, Trazanna, and daughter, Evelyn, who is also an instructor.
Evelyn Moreno
Drum Teacher
Evelyn Moreno has been drumming for more than ten years and became an officially endorsed Techra Drumsticks artist at just 17 years old. She got her start taking lessons at School of Rock Katy, where she also played bass guitar, sang, and was captain of the school's House Band. Evelyn played percussion, was on the snare line, and in jazz band at Katy's James E. Taylor High School. In 2022, Evelyn founded her own all-female, teen rock band called Garbage Girlfriend. They have released several songs on streaming platforms and play gigs all over Texas and beyond, and are about to release their first EP. She teaches beginner drums, Little Wing, Rookies, and Rock 101 at School of Rock Fulshear.
Michael Galvez
Music Director
Michael Galvez serves as the Music Director at School of Rock Fulshear, bringing nearly two decades of industry expertise with a passion for mentoring the next generation of rockers. A veteran of the Houston music scene, Michael has performed at legendary venues including House of Blues Houston, White Oak Music Hall, and Axelrad Beer Garden, as well as countless stages across the broader Texaplex region. He is most recognized for his work with the standout local project, Primaries, and remains a prolific collaborator and session musician for a diverse array of Houston artists.
When he isn’t leading rehearsals, performing with his passion projects, or doing session work, Michael is honing his craft and working towards becoming a professional audio engineer and sound recording technician. His educational approach is rooted in a fundamental truth: you must master the rules before you can break them. Michael believes that a firm grasp of musical structure is exactly what empowers the world's best artists to innovate, experiment, and ultimately redefine the industry.
Haley Wheeler
Studio Coordinator
Haley Wheeler was born and raised in Houston, TX. When she was thirteen, she caught that musical itch and found herself completely enthralled by the bass guitar. From taking lessons throughout high school to joining a small band in college, Haley honed her craft over the years to become that rocking bass chick she had always aspired to be. What started out as a hobby became one of her passions, and she would love to share that energy with young and aspiring musicians.
When she is not rocking out at School of Rock Fulshear, you can find Haley with her nose buried in a book, some needlepoint in hand, or an anime pulled up on her laptop. She could even be writing fanciful tales or playing the latest video game. Her hobbies are many and change from day to day. You should ask her about them— she is always down to talk about anything she loves!
Christy Ferra
Guitar Teacher
Christy Ferra is a beginner guitar teacher at School of Rock Fulshear, and loves working with students who are new to the instrument. She also teaches Little Wing and Rookies students. Christy began her music career as a student at School of Rock Katy, eventually leaving to become the lead guitarist in the all-female rock band, Garbage Girlfriend, based in Katy. Christy and the band play gigs everywhere, with some of their most memorable shows at Warehouse Live Midtown and Discovery Green. The band has released several songs on streaming platforms, will release their EP in August, and are currently pursuing a record deal.
Christy deeply values family, and is the youngest of three siblings. When she is not practicing guitar or writing riffs, you might catch her on the softball field or training other athletes. Christy has a wide range of musical influences, from Metallica to Rap to Alt Rock and R&B.
