In this special 5-day camp, students will analyze some of the greatest compositions of the last 60 years and learn how to write their own songs
CAMP DESCRIPTION
Through this special 5-day songwriting camp, students will learn how to write their own songs. Students will analyze some of the greatest compositions of the last 60 years in order to develop their own tunes. They will learn about chord progressions, arrangements and other tricks of the trade. We’ll spend Monday through Friday learning and writing songs, all culminating in a live performance. Great for students 10-18 years of age. Please note: All summer campers need to have experience in their instrument. We ask that campers have played before and have some fundamentals down so that we can ensure that the camp week is fun for everyone! If they don't have any experience, check out our Rock 101 Camps for beginners.
WEEKLY SCHEDULE
- Camp runs Monday - Friday, 9:30am - 3pm each day except Friday
- Each day will consist of rehearsals, practice time & fun music-based game & activities
- On Friday, campers will be performing the songs they’ve been working on throughout the week! The performance will start promptly at 1 pm.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Students can expect an exciting and educational week of learning music taught by our talented camp instructors.
