Our Experienced Music Teachers
All of School of Rock Germantown MD’s music teachers are experienced musicians devoted to helping students attain musical proficiency. Our instructors guide students one-on-one to personalize learning, inspire confidence and build social skills.
Brianna Martinelli
Guitar Teacher, Bass Guitar Teacher, Keyboard + Piano Teacher
Brianna has been playing guitar for about 20 years, playing in bands with styles ranging from punk to shoegaze to 70s-style jam bands. Some of her favorite guitarists include Jimi Hendrix, BB King, and Frank Zappa.
David Flood
Drum Teacher
Growing up in a family of musicians, David fell in love with drums, influenced by classic prog & rock bands. He's performed in the DC and Baltimore areas, including with The Obsessed and FunkHaus. As a teacher at the School of Rock in Germantown MD, he helps students master rhythm, tempo, and versatility in any style.
Michi Cáceres
Vocal Teacher
Michi Cáceres has been a recording artist for 2 years and is a trained coloratura soprano. R&B, soul, and Motown were Michi’s first loves musically. Whether it’s rock or pop, Michi is always inspired by other musicians who work hard to hone their skills and strongly believes music is a language that can change lives.
Jack Kerness
Drum Teacher
Jack has a wide range of percussion experience, having played drum set for 20 years and classical percussion for 15 years. He has played in several different bands and orchestras, with styles ranging from classical and jazz to rock, pop, blues, and R&B.
Some of Jack's favorite drummers include Ringo Starr, Steve Gadd, John Bonham, Jeff Porcaro, Keith Carlock, Steve Jordan, and Max Weinberg.
Evelyn Levitsky
Keyboard + Piano Teacher, Vocal Teacher
The daughter of a professional rock and roll singer, Evelyn grew up carrying amps and singing backup harmonies. She studied classical piano and music theory at the Peabody Conservatory in middle and high school and has honed her musicality and showmanship performing in diverse venues. Her favorite genre of music to play and teach is pop punk.
Owen Almoney
Guitar Teacher, Bass Guitar Teacher, Drum Teacher
Owen began learning guitar and bass at the age of 15 and started teaching lessons at 19. Currently studying music at Montgomery College, they were first inspired to pick up the guitar as a way to connect more deeply with the music they loved and now hope to share that same passion with others. Through their classes at School of Rock Germantown MD, students can learn the fundamentals of playing and performing live, as well as gain insight into navigating the music world. Owen offer lessons in electric guitar, bass guitar, and drums, and also write original music and have performed with numerous bands throughout the DMV area.
