Ready, Set, Show! A Performance Prep Workshop
Showtime is coming fast! Ready, Set, Show! is a hands-on performance prep workshop designed to help students feel confident, prepared, and stage-ready before their end-of-season performances.
On Friday, January 10, two weeks before our first set of End-of-Season Shows, students are invited to join us at the school to learn why preparation and instrument care matter for the entire band, while also building stage presence and a strong performance mindset. Students will also break into instrument-focused sessions led by our instructors.

- Diagnosing common issues (strings, input jacks, dusty pots, etc.)
- Instrument maintenance best practices
- Hands-on walkthroughs and instructor demonstrations
Drums
- Drum kit anatomy and tuning
- Emergency troubleshooting (hi-hats, kick pedals, hardware)
- Packing tips and stick selection for live shows
Keys
- Organizing patches in performance order
- Sound design and layering for performance
- Efficient stage setup tips
Vocals
- Group warm-up and vocal health
- Confidence and stage presence discussion
- Overcoming nerves and stage fright
- Q&A and peer-supported conversation
