In this special 5-day camp, students will analyze some of the greatest compositions of the last 60 years and learn how to write their own songs

WHAT TO EXPECT

Through this special 5-day songwriting camp, students will learn how to write their own songs.  Students will analyze some of the greatest compositions of the last 60 years in order to develop their own tunes.  They will learn about chord progressions, arrangements and other tricks of the trade.  We'll spend Monday though Friday morning learning and writing songs, all culminating in a live performance.  This camp will work closely with our Recording and Production Camp to have a keepsake of their work.  Great for students 7-18 years of age who have had previous music instruction.  

SCHEDULE

• Camps run Monday through Friday, 9:00am-3:00pm. 
• Drop off is no earlier than 5 minutes before the start of the day, and pickup is no later than 5 minutes after day-end. 
• Each day will consist of rehearsals, practice time and fun music-based games and activities.
• On Friday, campers will put on a show for family and friends and perform the songs they have been working on all week. The showcase will take place at our school and will start promptly at 2:00pm Friday.

WHAT TO BRING

• Campers must bring their own lunch each day, including a re-fillable water bottle. 
• Guitarists who have one already should bring their own guitar/bass, as well as extra strings, picks, strap, etc.  Not required - we have them here for those who do not have their own.
• Please bring ear plugs if you have them (or we will provide).
• A positive Rock and Roll attitude - ready to have fun!

CANCELLATION POLICY

A 50% refund will be offered on cancelled camps up to 15 days prior to the camp start date.  Cancellations within 14 days before camp are not eligible for a refund.

NEXT STEPS
