This camp will be 3 days of songwriting, and 2 days of recording at the studio at our West Houston location! This is a great opportunity to get a new perspective on being a working musician, going through the whole process of getting your music from an idea and out to the world!

CAMP DESCRIPTION

Through this special 5-day songwriting camp, students will learn how to write their own songs! Students will analyze some of the greatest compositions of the last 60 years in order to develop their own tunes. They will learn about chord progressions, arrangements and other tricks of the trade. We’ll spend Monday through Wednesday learning and writing songs at the Pearland location. The next 2 days will be recording at the studio at our West Houston location (Th-F)! This music camp is great for students 13-18 years old who have had previous instruction.

WEEKLY SCHEDULE

Camp runs Monday - Friday, 9am - 3pm each day
Each day consists of rehearsals, practice time and fun music-based games and activities
On Friday, campers will get to take home and listen to thier songs they have been working on all week!

What to Expect

Students can expect an exciting and educational week of learning songwriting taught by our talented camp instructors. Each day, students will be asked to bring lunch, snacks, water, and hearing protection. 

At School of Rock, we are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all campers. To help us maintain this space, we ask parents to avoid packing any nut products in lunches or snacks. We also prohibit any toy or real weapons from being brought to camp.
