ROCK 101 CAMP
Want to play in a band onstage? Our Rock 101 camp is designed for beginners 7-12 years of age. No experience necessary! Students will explore their instruments through musical games and activities. Students will learn songs from artists such as the White Stripes, Green Day, and Imagine Dragons (song selection will vary by location). Our nurturing environment makes this the perfect camp for budding musicians. Students will work on songs Monday through Friday and the camp will culminate in a concert at the end of the week for family and friends.
WEEKLY SCHEDULE
- Camp runs Monday - Friday, 9am - 3pm each day
- Each day will consist of rehearsals, practice time, and fun music-based games and activities
- On Friday at 2pm at the school, campers will play and perform the songs they’ve been working on throughout the week!
WHAT TO EXPECT
Students can expect an exciting and educational week of learning music taught by our talented camp instructors. Students will be asked to bring lunch, snacks, water, and hearing protection each day. If students have their own electric guitar, bass or microphone, please have them bring them each day. Acoustic guitars will not work for this camp. We do have loaner instruments while the students are here at the school if they do not have their own instrument.
My son loved his camp! He said he was engaged throughout the day, had wonderful instructors, and met some wonderful new friends. I’m so glad he was able to spend his day immersed in music culture instead of video games! I think this camp has really inspired him to work on his drumming skills more often. -J.T.
