In this special 5-day music camp, students will analyze some of the greatest compositions of the last 60 years and learn how to write their own songs.

CAMP DESCRIPTION

Through this special 5-day songwriting camp, students will learn how to write their own songs! Students will analyze some of the greatest compositions of the last 60 years in order to develop their own tunes. They will learn about chord progressions, arrangements and other tricks of the trade. We’ll spend Monday through Friday learning and writing songs, all culminating in a live performance. This music camp is great for students 7-18 years old who have had previous instruction.

WEEKLY SCHEDULE

Camp runs Monday - Friday, 9am - 2pm each day
Each day consists of rehearsals, practice time and fun music-based games and activities!!
On Friday, campers will play and perform the songs they’ve been working on throughout the week!

WHAT TO EXPECT

Students can expect an exciting and educational week of learning music taught by our talented camp instructors. We will work on writing and creating demos for student's original music Each day, students will be asked to bring lunch, snacks, water, and hearing protection. Prior musical experience is required.

At School of Rock, we are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all campers. To help us maintain this space, we ask parents to avoid packing any nut products in lunches or snacks. We also prohibit any toy or real weapons from being brought to camp.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation up to 30 days before the camp is eligible for a full refund in the form of SoR South Plainfield account credit (which can be used for any other SoR South Plainfield program), or a refund back to the card used minus a $50 processing fee.
Cancellation within 29 days or less before the camp is eligible for a full refund in the form of SoR South Plainfield account credit, or a 50% refund back to the card used.
