ABOUT THE JOB
The Studio Coordinator is an integral part of the School of Rock Vancouver team by helping to create an amazing experience and community with students, parents and instructors. With a strong ability to manage a variety of tasks the Studio Coordinator will be responsible for customer service and scheduling, while working closely with the General Manager on administration and other duties as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage a complex schedule of music lessons and rehearsals with students, parents, and instructors
- Welcome and check-in all students and guests
- Manage incoming leads and respond to customer inquiries through the school’s ticketing system, email, phone, and other methods
- Lead and track sales of music programs and merchandise
- Schedule and lead tours of prospective students
- Answer phones and emails while providing excellent customer service to existing and prospective customers
- Assist the General Manager with a wide variety of tasks and other duties as required including but not limited to; special projects, events, reports, administration, billing
- Attend events and represent School of Rock Vancouver as needed
- Manage the opening and closing of the school
- Adhere to the School of Rock Code of Conduct, safety policies, and other policies and procedures
REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum of two years working in a front desk, reception or customer service role
- Highly organized with attention to detail
- A welcoming, friendly and outgoing demeanor is essential
- Excellent team player who loves to collaborate with others
- An interest in music and the arts is a plus
- Experience working with youth is an asset
- A criminal record background check is required and is a condition of employment
- This position is entirely in-person at our Vancouver location. No remote work is available.
- 40 hours per week with mostly afternoon - evening shifts (tentatively 1pm-9pm) on weekdays and weekends. Shift times and days are subject to change and may vary depending on scheduled events and lesson schedules.
