CAMP DESCRIPTION
Green Day was one of the most popular and influential bands of the 90s and early 2000s. Their fun, high-energy music helped bring punk into the mainstream. Throughout this 5-day music camp, we’ll explore hits from some of their most popular albums, such as “Dookie,” “Warning,” “Insomniac,” “American Idiot” and beyond. At the end of the week, students will put on a live performance. Great for students 7-18 years of age who have had some previous instruction.
WEEKLY SCHEDULE
- Camp runs Monday - Friday, 9am - 3pm each day
- Each day will consist of rehearsals, practice time & fun music-based game & activities
- On Friday, campers will play and perform the songs they’ve been working on throughout the week. Plan on picking your camper up around lunch time on Friday to take them to the show!
WHAT TO EXPECT
Students can expect an exciting and educational week of learning music taught by our talented camp instructors. Each day, students will be asked to bring lunch, snacks, water, and hearing protection.
At School of Rock, we are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all campers. To help us maintain this space, we ask parents to avoid packing any nut products in lunches or snacks. We also prohibit any toy or real weapons from being brought to camp.
"We love how inclusive and supportive the camp is. You can tell the staff really loves what they do and it comes out in how much fun the kids have. Their confidence grows when they have so many people in their corner!" - SOR Ashburn Summer Camp Parent
