CAMP DESCRIPTION
Crank up the volume and dive into the roots of heavy metal at our 5-Day Pioneers of Metal Camp! Students will explore thunderous riffs, powerful vocals, and driving rhythms of metals trailblazers, from Black Sabbath to Iron Maiden and beyond. Guitarists, bassists, and drummers will learn iconic licks, pounding grooves, and stage-ready techniques, while building confidence to rock hard with their bandmates. At the end of the week, students will put on a live performance. Great for students 10-18 years of age who have had some previous instruction.
WEEKLY SCHEDULE
- Camp runs Monday - Thursday, 9am - 3pm each day, and Friday 9am - 2pm
- Each day will consist of rehearsals, practice time & fun music-based games & activities
- On Friday, campers will play and perform the songs they've been working on throughout the week!
WHAT TO EXPECT
Students can expect an exciting and educational week of learning music taught by our talented camp instructors. Each day, students will be asked to bring lunch, snacks, water, and hearing protection.
At School of Rock, we are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all campers. To help us maintain this space, we ask parents to avoid packing any nut products in lunches or snacks. We also prohibit any toy or real weapons from being brought to camp.
