CAMP DESCRIPTION
Combining elements of Punk, Metal, and Pop, Nirvana channeled teen angst into Rock's last sweeping mainstream movement. Nirvana recorded what is known as the pinnacle of the Grunge movement, Nevermind. With tracks like "Smells Like Teen Spirit," "Come As You Are," and "In Bloom" Nirvana skyrocketed into mainstream success, crowning them the kings of Grunge. Beginner and intermediate guitar players will learn power chords and melodic lead guitar in the camp, while any drum student will be challenged by David Grohl's powerful, technical drumming. At the end of the week, students will put on a live performance. Great for students 10-17 years of age who have had some previous instruction

WHAT TO EXPECT
Students can expect an exciting and educational week of learning music taught by our talented camp instructors. Each day, students will be asked to bring lunch, snacks, water, and hearing protection.
At School of Rock, we are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all campers. To help us maintain this space, we ask parents to avoid packing any nut products in lunches or snacks.
Both of our children came away from SOR camp feeling great about their experience and neither had any formal musical training before arriving to camp. Thank you for building their confidence and introducing them to the world of music! Parent of School of Rock Bentonville
