All of School of Rock Cary’s music teachers are experienced musicians devoted to helping students attain musical proficiency. Our instructors guide students one-on-one to personalize learning, inspire confidence and build social skills.
Manguss Cagnotto
Guitar Teacher, Bass Guitar Teacher, Music Director
Manguss, born Daniele Cagnotto, is an Italian guitar player, songwriter, arranger, singer, bass player and fx programmer based in North Carolina. As his main background comes from hard rock music, he's always been open-minded and willing to explore a lot of different genres. His career saw him playing for the black metal band Mortuary Drape, the electronic projects DC Project, Sensory Gate, Matrix Meretrix, the ambient psychedelic band NG (Northgate) and different hard rock bands such as Lymph of Wisdoom and Showdown Boulevard, bringing to all of these projects his songwriting and arranging skills. The guitar players that he considers sources of great inspiration for his own style are artists such as Jimmy Page, Billy Duffy, Vernon Reid, Rich Robinson, Eddie Hazel, Jimi Hendrix, Duane Allman, Slash, Dr. Know, Eric Clapton, Ernie Isley and many many others. Over the years he shared the stage with many artists of different musical background such as Living Colour, Adam Bomb, Tim Ripper Owens, Joe Delia, Aaron Mills of Cameo, Delaney McQuaig, etc. Manguss has been collaborating on a regular basis with many bands and artists. He is currently also the lead guitar player for the band of the renowned Redemption Church based in Greenville, SC.
Frank Ingenito
Drum Teacher
Frank Ingenito has been playing drums for 30 years. He studied with Guy Gelso of Zebra. He has played with various local bands in New York and two worship teams at Calvary Chapel. While he will teach any style, his specialty is in classic rock. Kenny Aronoff is his drumming hero. He is also an obsessive music collector.
James Evans, Jr.
Bass Guitar Teacher, Piano Teacher
James Evans Jr., a Greensboro native, is a keyboardist, bass player, composer, recording engineer and classically trained pianist based in North Carolina. He began playing music as a teen after being accepted into Weaver Academy’s Performing and Visual Arts high school program. From there on he realized his love and passion for performing and creating music. Many describe his sound as a fusion of neo-soul and progressive rock, mixing influences of the new with the old. Currently, James is performing with local blues legend Roy Roberts and The Quest Blues Band and is also performing with The Blockade Runners, a local Southern rock band. In addition, he has produced, engineered and composed for several solo artists throughout the Carolinas.
Adam Johnson
Guitar Teacher
Adam is a Berklee School of Music graduate who's been playing since he was a young lad. You can catch his metal band The Hell No playing the local music scene. If you're looking to take your guitar skills to the next level, or if you want to take a deep dive into music theory, Adam's your man.
Todd Lee
Guitar Teacher, Bass Guitar Teacher
Todd Lee was born and raised in Long Island, New York, and moved to the Raleigh area during the summer of 2020. His love for music began as a kid whose parents played a steady rotation of Motown, British Invasion, and Elvis Presley in their home. Todd's musical influences are wide and varied and he counts Brian Setzer, Keith Scott, Steve Lukather, Nile Rodgers, Richie Sambora, Alex Lifeson, and Eddie Van Halen as major influences. He is a self-admitted Star Wars geek and collector of anything related to the films. Todd is currently playing all over North Carolina with his band, The Stone Age Romeos.
