Rock 101 Camp – School of Rock
Our Rock 101 Camp is the perfect introduction to playing in a band for younger or beginner musicians. Designed for students with little to no prior experience, this camp focuses on building confidence, learning foundational skills, and having fun through hands-on music instruction. This camp is ideal for kids who are excited about music and ready to try instruments, jam with others, and start their rock and roll journey in a fun, welcoming setting.
Throughout the week, students will:
- Learn the basics of guitar, bass, drums, keys, and vocals
- Explore rhythm, melody, and teamwork through guided exercises
- Practice songs chosen specifically for early-level players
- Develop confidence by rehearsing together as a real band
- Build friendships and musical skills in a supportive, high-energy environment
- The week culminates in a mini performance where campers get to showcase what they’ve learned for family and friends.
WEEKLY SCHEDULE
- Camp runs Monday - Thursday, 9am - 3pm each day
- Each day consists of rehearsals, practice time and fun music-based games and activities
- On Thursday, campers will play and perform the songs they’ve been working on throughout the week!
WHAT TO EXPECT
Students can expect an exciting and educational week of learning music taught by our talented camp instructors. Each day, students will be asked to bring lunch, snacks, water, and hearing protection.
At School of Rock, we are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all campers. To help us maintain this space, we ask parents to avoid packing any nut products in lunches or snacks. We also prohibit any toy or real weapons from being brought to camp
"School of Rock Clark completely exceeded our expectations. My child came home from camp every day excited, inspired, and more confident than ever. The instructors were amazing and truly cared about helping each kid grow. By the end-of-week performance, we couldn’t believe how much progress they made. It was an unforgettable experience — we can’t recommend it enough."
