In this special 5-day camp, students will analyze some of the greatest compositions of the last 60 years and learn how to write their own songs!
Songwriting Camp – School of Rock
Our Songwriting Camp gives young musicians the rare opportunity to write, arrange, and professionally record their own original music. Throughout the week, students will collaborate, create, and learn the full process of taking a song from idea to finished track — all while working side-by-side with our Recording Camp to bring their music to life.
During this immersive camp, students will:
- Learn the fundamentals of songwriting, including melody, lyrics, structure, harmony, and arrangement
- Work individually and in groups to develop original songs
- Receive coaching on creativity, composition, and musical storytelling
- Collaborate all week with our Recording Camp, where students will help engineer, track, and mix the songs being written
- Experience hands-on sessions in our recording environment — capturing vocals, guitar, bass, drums, keys, and more
- Gain real insight into both the artistic and technical sides of creating music
At the end of the week, families will receive a full, finished recording of the original song(s) written and recorded during camp — a true keepsake of the student’s musical creativity and hard work.
