CAMP DESCRIPTION
Starting in the early 90s, Pop Punk became a popular genre that dominated the radio. It has produced bands like Green Day, Paramore, Blink 182, No Doubt, Offspring and many more who will be featured in this camp.
In this camp, students will be grouped into bands based on age and experience level, and will stay with that group for the whole week! We will try our best to accommodate campers who would like to be in the same band together. Throughout the week, campers will collaborate with their fellow bandmates to rehearse together, create a band name, and design band posters. The week will culminate in an exciting live performance on Friday where bands will play for each other as well as friends and family.
Great for students 9-18 years old who play at an intermediate level or above. Evaluation is required for non-School of Rock students. If you are unsure of your child's ability level, please contact us for an evaluation prior to signing up. Any current specials or discounts will be honored.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Students can expect an exciting and educational week of learning music taught by our talented camp instructors. Each day, campers will be asked to bring lunch, snacks, a refillable water bottle with their name on it, and hearing protection.
At School of Rock, we are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all campers. To help us maintain this space, we ask parents to avoid packing any nut products in lunches or snacks. We also prohibit any toy or real weapons from being brought to camp.
Weekly CAMP SCHEDULE
- Camp runs Monday - Friday, 10 AM - 3 PM
- Each day will consist of rehearsals, practice time, and fun music-based games and activities
- On Friday, campers will perform the songs they’ve been working on throughout the week at a local music venue!
PERFORMANCE Details
Students will spend the full camp day at the venue (TBD) on Friday, August 7th. They will rehearse their set, eat lunch and get ready to rock the stage! Showtime for family and friends will be at 2 PM.
CANCELLATION POLICY
A refund, less a $50 fee, will be offered on camps canceled by the participant up until March 1st, applied to the credit card used for the original purchase. Cancellations after March 1st are not eligible for a refund.
SALE POLICY
We run sales on camps periodically throughout the year. While you can wait for a sale, this will not guarantee you a spot in a camp as they do fill up quickly. We will not retroactively discount a camp from a current or future sale. All pricing is final once the processing is complete.
